Heavy Duty 5015 Security GrilleSecurity Grilles
Model Number: 5015
Heavy Duty Security Grille
The 5015 Rolling Security Grille curtain is built for the long haul. The curtain consists of solid rods that are spaced closer together compared to a standard security grille's construction. In addition, the links are 50% heavier with tube spacers on every rod instead of every 10th rod. These metal gate upgrades make the curtain more secure and more durable than standard overhead grille construction.
The 5015 grille's uniquely robust construction is ideal for applications with no secondary level of security, and is built to last for 50,000 cycles. For facilities requiring more cycles, a special 100,000-cycle construction is available.
Like all of our rolling grille products, the 5015 curtain stores in an overhead coil that is totally supported by extensions of the side guides. This means there is no need for any additional support beams at the security grille hood.
There are times when you need to balance security, visibility and airflow. The 5015 provides an enhanced level of security compared to standard grilles without sacrificing visibility and airflow, making it an ideal choice for storefronts and parking garages.
The grilles are constructed for daily use and can withstand operation of up to 20 cycles per day – that’s 50K cycles for the lifetime of the grille. Dependent on curtain configuration and spring selection.
This grille is also available in 100K, high cycle construction for more than 20 cycles per day.
If your requirements call for increased speed (up to 24 inches per second), more than 50 cycles per day, or 300,000 cycles lifetime, consider our line of High Performance products.

Chain Diverter for MGH Operators
This option moves the auxiliary chain out of the clear opening and to the side of the door – enabling free movement through the door and making a chain bag unnecessary.
Grille curtain can be mounted in a fixed frame assembly. It can be installed separately, or installed near a rolling grille curtain to complement the aesthetics. Often used in parking garages.
Hood and Operator Covers
Metal cover to protect the coil or operator from exterior weather, debris or to meet OSHA or UL 325 safety requirements.Learn More
Powder Coating Grilles
Powder coat finish in more than 180 colors is available on perimeter components such as the aluminum bottom bar, hoods, wall angles, tubes and fascia. This finish is not available on the grille curtain.Learn More
Trim PackageIn applications where exterior aesthetics are important, such as hotels, condominiums, convention centers and parking garages, the addition of a trim package can cover unsightly hardware and contribute to the building's architecture.
Magic SwitchA touchless activation device designed to open and close doors with the wave of a hand. It's compatible with all operators that have a primary entrapment device and are configured for momentary contact to close. The Magic Switch is easy to retrofit in an existing application and features a clean, stainless steel face plate.
5015 Grille High Cycle Construction
The 5015 grille can be upgraded to a special higher-cycle construction to last up to 100,000 cycles. For grilles requiring more more than 50 cycles per day or a 300,000-cycle lifetime, we recommend the Extreme 300 Series Grille.
High Cycle SpringsHeavy duty springs manufactured to withstand cycles of 100,000.
Seismic Performance Validation
We can provide project specific seismic calculations for all coiling doors that are mounted Face of Wall to steel or masonry. Seismic performance validation is per ASCE 7-05.
SafetyGard UL325 Approved Light Curtain
A UL325 approved non-contact primary entrapment device that prevents damage to an object in the door’s pathway in addition to minimizing damage to the closure itself.
Entrapment Protection Devices
Entrapment protection devices ensure that a motorized door or grille will not close on an object. If an object enters path of closure, the entrapment protection device will stop the door or grille from closing and return it to the fully open position.
Guide-Mounted InterlocksAn electrical cutout switch to prevent motor operation if locking device is not first disengaged.
Locking - Security Grilles
A wide variety of locking options are available to meet your security needs.
Manual Release System
If egress is required on a motorized grille, a wall mounted pull handle disengages the motor to allow the grill to partially open.
Combine two different slat profiles in the same curtain. Typically, a standard slat is combined with a perforated slat or even rolling grille for ventilation and security.
Countertops are available for a complete counter shutter closure solution, and can be UL rated.Learn More
MullionsThere are multiple mullion options - corner, fixed and removable.
Sloping or Irregular OpeningsOur special bottom bar designs can address these conditions.
Superimposed DoorsCombine two different curtains on the same opening. Typically, an insulated door is used in conjunction with an open design rolling grille to provide ventilation. When extreme weather or sound resistance is desired, we can provide superimposed/double insulated curtain assemblies.
Vibration IsolatorsVibration Isolators effectively reduce the amount of vibration* caused by operation of doors and grilles.
*Vibration was reduced by 14% on doors and grilles with Vibration Isolators installed compared to doors and grilles without the system.
